The replacement of garage door springs went well. The technician was on time and very professional in explaining the repair and prices. I thought the repair was really expense as I recall paying about half the price years ago to have springs replacement done. I am also surprised with 30 days warranty coverage. I would have thought a first rate company like Precision would stand behind its parts and labor much longer than 30 days. Had I known this upfront would probably have inquired before making a sourcing decision for the repair. I hope the new door springs last much longer than the warranty period.

Prompt and friendly BUT receptionist said repairs are done and when technician came he wouldn't even open it and said they dont do that. Charged me $60, saying I "declined repairs" clearly I did not decline repairs I declined an $800 new opener.

Found it advertised on line. That being said, I called to get an estimate , within one and a half hour I was called back, within 10 min the technician was at my door. Job was completed within 1 hr. Technician was courteous, knowledgeable and fast. All around good experience.

One morning as I’m leaving for an appointment, I open my garage door as usual and about halfway up, the coiled tension spring breaks, the door slams shut and my vehicle and I get stuck inside. I can’t get out of my garage without lifting the heavy door from the inside. And once I’m out of my garage, there’s no handle on the outside of the door to lift it back up. I’m now late for my appointment, in my good clothes and scrambling to find a 5-gallon bucket to keep the door propped open until it can be fixed. I now have a theft risk because the door remains unsecured until it’s fixed. So now I’m in a panic to get the garage door fixed as soon as possible. The last company I used went out of business. I search the web and see Precision Garage Door Service. If you’re still reading my review at this point, then you need Precision Garage Door Service and you need them fast! I call them and an actual human being immediately answered the phone. Three hours later, their technician Brock shows up. I tell him I want it fixed properly with top quality parts. I tell him if I happen to have an issue after the fix, I want to make one call and get it resolved by a company who gets back out here quickly and stands behind their work and materials without costing me additional time and cost. Brock sensed my curiosity, opened up his parts van and showed me the (big) difference between entry-level and high-quality replacement parts. Brock had both types of parts in his van. He showed me the difference between cheap cable drums and good quality ones. He showed me why Nylon rollers and powder coated coiled springs are the best quality, quieter and will last much longer. He showed me why more expensive, quality bearings matter and plastic bearings used with steel coiled tension springs have a much shorter lifespan. Just remember these three words: cheap, reliable, durable. If you want cheap and reliable, it will not be the most durable. But if you want the most durable and reliable, then top-quality parts must be used and you will pay more. I’d rather pay more for quality up front, maximize service life, get the support I need quickly whenever I need it and simply move on to other things. I don’t want to go through the same dilemma 10-15 years later. Thank you, Brock and thank you Precision Garage Door Service!

The overall experience was perfect-from the beginning-scheduling my appointment, to getting a call from the technician on ETA and then confirmation from the company with technicians name and a brief bio along with a photo ( great safety feature). Once Brock arrived he listened to my issue and I pointed out the obvious spring break. He explained to me what his next steps would involve. Before the initial repair work began, a thorough inspection was completed. Once the inspection was finished Brock, reviewed his findings with me. Brock, did an excellent job explaining my options, including the associated costs. He was very tidy and informative during the installation of the new items. Now, my choices did cost a little more but it didn’t have to be. We use the garage door as our front door, so you can imagine how often it goes up and down when we both work AND I wanted the quietness. I also wanted the peace of mind the door would work if power was lost so I upgraded to a battery backup garage door opener. The plan is to have new siding and roof replaced in the spring of 2025 so a new garage door was also ordered. The company worked with me on the cost because another new spring will need to be installed with the new door and I am having a new high service spring installed today. I appreciated the help I was given in the added cost-It worked out to where I wasn’t paying for it twice. I would highly recommend the company, PRECISION GARAGE DOOR— request Brock if you can, I will meet Charlie next with the door install-I am positive, I will feel the same about him and his work ethic.
